Revelle Group is supporting the International Renewable Energy Agency in gap analysis of the region’s renewable energy needs in terms of policy, regulatory, technical, financial aspects and capacity building. In the context of this work, Katarina Uherova Hasbani of Revelle Group recently presented preliminary findings of this study at a first-of-its kind workshop in Bucharest on 5 and 6 October 2016, where the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and South East European (SEE) countries agreed to strengthen their collaboration to accelerate renewable energy deployment in the region. The workshop was co-organised with the Romanian Ministry of Energy, and it convened governments, utilities, regulatory authorities, and other regional energy stakeholders to share best practices and solidify partnerships for future action.
