Monitoring & communication activities for the EU Initiative under Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All)

The overall objective of this assignment is to contribute to EU development action, notably in line with the Communication "Increasing the impact of EU Development Policy: an Agenda for Change". In this Communication the Commission recognises that sustainable energy has a strong multiplier impact on poverty reduction and inclusive economic growth and contributes decisively to environmental protection, climate change prevention and adaptation.

The specific objective of this assignment is to contribute to EU initiatives under the Sustainable Energy for All initiative, namely President Barroso's pledge during the 16 April 2012 EU SE4All Summit.

In this regard, the aim is to provide all EU partners but also EU citizens in the Member States with an overview of the EU development actions on sustainable energy and to engage their joint efforts in achieving the target set by President Barroso of helping developing countries to provide access to sustainable energy

EIR is undertaking the following activities that will support the development of a monitoring & tracking system to monitor the impact of energy access project and creating a communication strategy promoting the aggregate results achieved through the EU funded energy access projects. Specific activities that will be carried out are:
(1) Design an IT tracking system to monitor the impact of energy access projects funded by the EU
(2) Develop a communication strategy promoting the aggregate results achieved through the EU funded energy access projects
(3)Develop the specifications for the implementation of an IT tracking system to monitor the impact of energy access projects funded by the EU during the implementation period of the SE4All initiative
(4) Support the launching and implementation of the communication strategy by proposing an appropriate mix of communication activities.
