The global objective of the project is to support, in the framework of supporting the objectives of the Sustainable Energy for All initiative, the targeted developing countries to improve their policy and regulatory framework conditions, aiming at providing attractive and enabling environment for increased public and private investment in energy access, energy supplies, renewable energy as well as energy efficiency. EIR Global will provide high-level technical assistance at country (and regional level) through expert missions to be mobilized at short notice and support to committed countries to reach the SE4All objectives.
Activities to be undertaken will likely include:
- Initial stocktaking and establishing national energy sector policies
- Capacity building in policy and regulatory framework
- Technical support in programming and preparation of projects
- Mobilization of funds and facilitation of partnership (with particular emphasis on the private sector)
- Industrial and technology cooperation
- Project demonstration
