Revelle Group has been shortlisted for the project: ‘11th EDF Energy Governance in West Africa – (AGoSE-AO) ECOWAS Region – Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Ghana, Nigeria’.  The specific objective of this Technical Assistance is to provide support to the regional institutions (ECOWAS, WAEMU, ECREEE WAPP, ERERA) in line with their capacity building needs, in the implementation of activities related to the Energy Sector Governance in West Africa support programme (AgoSE-AO).

We are currently searching for candidates for the following key expert position in the project:

  • Key Expert 1: Team Leader-Senior Expert in Energy Policy and Regulatory and Institutional Framework

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Must hold a Master’s Level Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or related field, or at least a Master’s Degree in Energy, Economics, Law or any other relevant field
  • Good command of English and Knowledge of Portuguese would be an advantage
  • Good command of information technology and communication tools.

GENERAL PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Have at least 10 years’ professional experience in energy/electricity sector in positions of responsibility
  • Have at least 7 years’ experience as team leader

SPECIFIC PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Have at least one previous experience in similar tasks (programme coordination/consultancy support to a board or an electricity company)
  • Have a good knowledge of the issues and problems facing the energy sector in the ECOWAS region
  • Have skills in the formulation of energy policies or institutional and regulatory framework, as well as training and centres of excellence.

 

The Duration of the assignment is 4 years estimated at 44 man-months.
