Revelle Group has been shortlisted for the project: ‘11th EDF Energy Governance in West Africa – (AGoSE-AO) ECOWAS Region – Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Ghana, Nigeria’. The specific objective of this Technical Assistance is to provide support to the regional institutions (ECOWAS, WAEMU, ECREEE WAPP, ERERA) in line with their capacity building needs, in the implementation of activities related to the Energy Sector Governance in West Africa support programme (AgoSE-AO).
We are currently searching for candidates for the following key expert position in the project:
- Key Expert 2: Senior Expert in Energy Regulation
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Must hold a Masters in Law or related field, or at least a Master’s Level Degree in Electromechanical Engineering, a Master’s Degree in Economics, or any other relevant field;
- Good command of English and French. Knowledge of Portuguese would be an advantage;
- Good command of information technology and communication tools
GENERAL PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Have at least 10 years’ professional experience in energy/electricity sector regulation in positions of responsibility;
- Experience in regulation and organisation of the regional electricity market;
- Experience in analysis and institutional design for the electricity sector;
- Experience in at least the management of a technical assistance programme funded by donors for the benefit of international institutions;
- Excellent knowledge of the energy policy and international electricity market, particularly in the area of regulation.
SPECIFIC PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Have a good knowledge of the issues and problems facing the energy sector in the ECOWAS region;
- Have skills and experience in energy regulation and definition of rules and procedures of an electricity market;
- Have at least one previous experience in similar tasks.
The Duration of the assignment is 4 years. Beaded expertise mission equivalent to 50 days/year.
