Revelle Group is looking for an Energy Expert for the EU-funded project "Support to modernisation of the Energy Sector in the Republic of Moldova"

Background information

The overall objectives of the project are to: i) support the Republic of Moldova in the reform of its Energy sector with a view to ensure higher efficiency and higher Energy security; and ii) support the implementation of the commitments the Republic of Moldova undertook as a Contracting Party to the Energy Community and in the framework of the EU-MD Association Agreement

Qualifications and skills
  • University degree (of a minimum of four (4) years study in a university) in engineering or economics, or law. In the absence of the required academic degree, six (6) years of professional experience on top of the 10 years of professional experience in the Energy sector described under General professional experience below.
  • Excellent written and spoken English required
  • Command of Romanian or Russian will be an asset
General professional experience
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the Energy sector
  • At least 7 years of professional experience working with central state bodies and/or State Energy companies dealing with the reform of the energy sector
  • Proven experience in at least one EU-funded or international donor-funded project in the field of reform of the Energy sector in ENI countries or IPA countries or countries which are currently EU Member States, and involving at least 12 months of expert input.
  • At least 5 years of experience working on implementation of reforms in the area of Energy Efficiency and/or Renewable Energy and/or modernisation of the Energy market in line with the EU Energy acquis
Specific professional experience
  • Proven experience in at least one EU-funded or international donor-funded project in the field of reform of the Energy sector in ENI countries or IPA countries or countries which are currently EU Member States, and involving at least 12 months of expert input.
  • At least 5 years of experience working on implementation of reforms in the area of Energy Efficiency and/or Renewable Energy and/or modernisation of the Energy market in line with the EU Energy acquis
