Key Expert 1: Team leader and sustainable energy expert

Revelle Group has been shortlisted for the project: “EU Global Technical Assistance Facility (TAF) for Sustainable Energy”.  The objective of this project is deliver high level technical assistance and policy advice at country, regional and global level through expert missions that will be mobilised at short notice to support committed countries and partners to reach the SDG7 objectives. It will support developing countries to improve their policy and regulatory framework conditions aiming at providing attractive and enabling conditions for increased public and private investment in energy access, renewable energy as well as energy efficiency taking into account climate change, gender and health impacts especially under the framework of the EIP.

We are currently searching for candidates for the following key expert position in the project:

  • Key Expert 1: Team Leader and sustainable energy expert

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Post-secondary degree in economics, management, engineering, life sciences, industry, development-related studies, environmental studies law, business administration, finance or equivalent, followed by a Master’s Degree or equivalent (in any field);
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and French;
  • Advanced communication skills;
  • Advanced IT skills.

GENERAL PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • At least 12 years of relevant professional experience in project or programme management.

SPECIFIC PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • At least 7 years of international experience in energy projects in a developing country context, some of which must be in Africa;
  • At least 4 years of experience in coordinating technical assistance teams;
  • Proven experience in giving presentations/key note speeches on energy and/or sustainable energy in public (e.g forums/seminars) is an asset;
  • Experience in multi-country programmes and multicultural environments is an asset;
  • Experience in the EU policy and/or acquis communautaire in the field of energy is an asset;
  • Previous experience with EU-funded projects or for a large donor organisations is an asset.

The duration of the project is 48 months and the expected start date is January 2020.
